The client would like a redesign of the entire wireless network since they are encountering the following problems:

  • Wi-Fi compatible devices (smartphones and laptops) of the employees have no or poor connection to the Wi-Fi.
  • Several office spaces in the building have no or poor signal.
  • A specific Cisco (Unified Wireless IP) phone (7925) is having multiple problems.
  • The client believes the Access Points have been installed in the wrong spots.


Before implementation: Wireless Site Survey and audit
After implementation: Access Point-on-a-stick (APoS) measurement for the purpose of verification.


After a complete analysis, the best solution turned out to be replacing the entire Cisco WLAN environment (3702i access points and Virtual Wireless Controller (vWLC)) with a Meraki solution. Equipment used to solve the problem: Meraki MR 42 access points incl. MS (switches) and MX (security) appliances.
